The Mormon Bicycle Route has been making music since early 2006. Shortly after starting The Route T the founding and only true band member was diagnosed with schizophrenia. But that couldn't stop The Route, they have been making music ever since.
In the earlier career of the band it was primarily just noise rock. And it has been noted many times by T that the band isn't Mormon or Christain or any sort of religion based at all, he claims that it was just a clever band name. T incorporated the sounds he heard in his head into The Route's music. But most recently on the upcoming 2008 release of Yes It Is The Route seems to have changed their tune with some undertones of their old style still there. At first Yes It Is was going to be a 6 song ep, but shortly after completing the 6 songs Manager Clinton Mott, and Producer Kyle Johnson thought The Route should just make a 12 song full album, which is now in production.
